Café Le Doux in Goldsboro offers a cozy, French-style bakery and coffee experience that fits well into the neighborhood’s casual mornings and relaxed afternoons. Tucked on Cashwell Drive, it’s the kind of spot where locals stop in for more than just a caffeine boost—they come for the fresh-baked goods and the friendly atmosphere that encourages lingering over a latte or a flaky croissant.

The café’s bread offerings, especially their baguette and weekly sourdough boules available midweek through Saturday, draw in those who appreciate artisanal baking. Visitors typically find themselves sampling a variety of pastries—from breakfast puffs to indulgent treats like tiramisu, strawberry cheesecake, and even colorful options such as the unicorn cake. The menu’s sweet and savory balance means you can grab a quiche to pair alongside your espresso or opt for a slice of key lime pie as a midday pick-me-up.

Atmosphere-wise, Café Le Doux feels welcoming and gently upbeat, with cheerful staff who seem genuinely invested in the experience. It’s a lively spot on Saturday mornings but remains inviting on quieter weekdays when the pace is slower. Coffee here leans toward a dark, smoky blend that many find reliable and smooth, though some describe it as unassuming rather than bold or complex. Decaf options and milk alternatives like almond and oat milk make it accommodating for different tastes.

Regulars include people dropping by for quick breakfasts, those meeting friends for casual catch-ups, or locals who simply appreciate a dependable bakery with well-made sandwiches and pastries. Early to mid-mornings are best to catch a fresh batch of baked goods and secure a spot before the weekend crowds arrive. Whether you’re after a simple doughnut or planning to pick up a sweet potato tower or king cake for a special occasion, this café balances daily convenience with a touch of French-inspired charm within Goldsboro’s culinary scene.

One of my go to places in Goldsboro for coffee and a small bite to eat. I love their croissants and quiches. They even offer decaf which I appreciate. Me and my Filipino mom loved their Ube Cheesecake! The staff is always friendly. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming.

The coffee was served hot, with a smooth texture and mild taste. The aroma was soft and pleasant, though not memorable. The finish was plain, leaving little aftertaste. Overall, acceptable but ordinary.

Wow! What a delight to have such a cute little café in Goldsboro. The coffee is excellent. The pastries are fresh and delicious & the baguette is easily the best one I've found in the area. The place was packed on a Saturday morning. The staff were all chipper & obviously happy to be there. I'm pretty sure I am going to become a regular.

Cute little French-style bakery with amazing breakfast puffs and desserts. They have Sourdough bread from Wednesday through Saturday. Their coffee is a dark smokey blend and is excellent. I love this little breath of fresh air.

This little bakery + coffee place in Goldsboro and I'm impressed! They really know what they're doing. The coffee's actually good (not that burnt stuff you get some places). The baguette is legit. But seriously, you have to try their strawberry crumble doughnut. this thing was incredible! I'm already thinking about going back tomorrow. The staff is super nice, and it was pretty busy for a Tuesday, which is always a good sign.

This place rules. Fair trade beans, decent prices, delicious coffee (not too bitter, not too much milk in the latte), friendly workers and tasty pastries. Italian soda was meh, but that's partially a matter of personal taste. Was shocked to find this in an unassuming shopping center in Goldsboro- will definitely be stopping by on all future visits!!!

A great local gem, offering fresh baked and curated food selections ranging from breads (sourdough is heavenly), grab and go lunch and breakfast, to sweets of many types. The coffee is roasted on-site. The attention to detail is craft-level. This is not amateur coffee. Owners and staff are always very kind and warm. Just recently, the restaurant began offering lunch (simple sandwiches with a side) and it’s very impressive. Everything is made in-house. Café Le Doux has something for everyone!
